Social science building is simply understood as scientific researches way which is closely rooted to phenomenon and realities occurred in daily life, both ordinary and special activities. It could be seen by deductive approach as well as inductive one in accordance with characteristics of the case hand in hand with paradigm used in studying particular cases. In every case, therefore, it will be unusual when theories within social science have far concerning to reality life.
These finding could be happened if there are few researches only have been done in science development or those social scientists have been trapped in routine activities without clear direction for science development so they hardly use certain textbooks and do literature researches in studying current social phenomenon and reality life around. Besides, there are various factors as obstacles in doing researches. Unfortunately, social phenomenon are very dynamic, even been compared to natural sciences. This is dangerous fact because it might appear potency of undeveloped social sciences.
With various obstacle factors to social scientists in doing researches, those social researches have not been done yet as massive as they can—wish cannot say as seldom in other way—as the knowledge development-oriented research, a kind of research which explores and study social life intensively in order to improve and build its knowledge substance. Instead, requested-heavy researches, a kind featured by sponsored or incidentally done, still featuring the social scientists’ activities so it position common sense in any speak up the word of ‘research’ as a term of earning money by pragmatically doing sponsored particular projects. Thus, it might be the one of cause factors concerning social sciences, especially in Indonesia, have a limited improvement and couldn’t reach the substance of real social problem, even been put wishes to be the solving way of dynamic social problems.
Research is not a matter of free-of-charge activities; neither should certainly be the expensive one.
